On Monday, The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced The Prize money for Women’s ODI World Cup tournament set to be held in India and Sri Lanka from 30 September 2025.
In a History made decision ICC announced total prize money of 13.88 million USD (Approx. Rs.122 Crores).
If the amount (13.88 Million USD/122 Crore INR) is compared to the amount (10 Million USD/84 Crores INR) distributed in the Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 held in INDIA, the difference is 38 Crores
The champions of the Women’s World Cup 2025 will take home 4.48 million USD (INR 39.55 crores) — the highest-ever reward in the history of women’s cricket.
The runners-up will receive 2.24 million USD (INR 19.75 crores), while the losing semifinalists will earn 1.12 million USD (INR 9.86 crores) each.
Teams finishing fifth and sixth will secure 700,000 USD (INR 6.15 Crores)
The seventh and eighth-placed teams will earn 280,000 USD (INR 2.46 Crores).
In addition, every team will get a base participation amount of 250,000 USD (INR 2.19 Crores).
Group stage victories – Winning Team will fetch 34,314 USD (INR 30.17 lacs)
The total prize pool is nearly four times higher than the last edition, which offered only 3.5 million USD (INR 26 crores). In 2022, champions Australia had received 1.32 million USD (INR 9.9 crores), a fraction of what’s on offer now.
